Thailand ranked ninth in the 2021 Global Climate Risk Index of countries most affected by "intense weather activities" between 2010 and 2019.
One of the factors contributing to climate change is food waste. When organic fabric breaks down in landfills, it emits methane, a greenhouse fuel,
that is far more potent than CO2. Therefore, the fastest way to protect the planet is to reduce the amount of food that is wasted.
“Food waste absolutely starts from raw cloth colection to ingestion, to the food on the plate. From harvest to consumption, we take waste into account,
so overall globally we have around 30% of food produced and processed going to waste. That is very good and it is a lot.
This is the waste that we need to address, and in fact the UN, from their sustainable improvement targets below the 2030 calendar,
Thailand ranked ninth in the 2021 Global Climate Risk Index of countries most affected by "intense weather activities" between 2010 and 2019.
Approximately 1.3 billion tons of food waste is generated internationally. In Thailand, the population of 66 million generates 145 kg of food waste per person per year.
