Top247 ATH Jelani McDonald commits to Texas at All-American Bowl

Waco, Texas Connally Top247 athlete Jelani McDonald presented his dedication to Texas during Saturday's broadcast of the All-American Bowl

Ranked with the help of Top247 as the No. 5 athlete in the country and No. 97 average prospect, the 6-foot-2, 197-pound McDonald offers the Longhorns

"To be able to be with this class, with some human beings who could have this elegance is tremendous," McDonald said

"Knowing that I'm going to be there with some friends and that we're all in the same grade, that's going to push me and make us a top-tier group."

McDonald is a prep-level quarterback who threw for 13 touchdowns and rushed for 9 extra as a senior. He also recorded 25 tackles

10 stoppages for loss and four sacks and one interception in protection. Here in San Antonio he shined in practice as a tight cornerback
